Avilo Care Services, is approved by New Jersey Board of Nursing in 2024, to provide training for individuals seeking to become Home Health Aides, (HHAs). Avilo Care Services provides services to Division of Development Disabilities and work with individuals to become Direct Support Professionals.
Home Health Aide training program
The Home Health Aide training program is a 76-hour course approved by the New Jersey Board of Nursing, offers a comprehensive hybrid learning program for aspiring healthcare professionals.
Our instructors are Registered Nurses (RNs) who bring years of experience in Health care training.
Our curriculum includes 60 hours of online lectures paired with 16 hours of hands-on clinical training in our Training center. Graduates will have the knowledge and skills required for the competency exam, clinical skills evaluation, care and proper assistance with clients’ activities of daily living. Upon successful completion, we at NJ HHC are committed to guiding students through the certification process with the Board of Nursing, ensuring a seamless transition into their healthcare careers.
Direct Support Professionals
A Direct Support Professional (DSP) is someone who is employed by a service provider organization, such as Avilo Care Services and assists people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to actively participate in home and community life and realize their full potential as valued citizens. Avilo Care’s employs DSPs to work in a variety of places including individual and family homes, supported apartments, and the community.
DSP training occurs through NJ DDD sponsored College of Direct support (online), and Avilo mandated training online and in-person training.
After the successful completion of either trainings, graduates are eligible to work at Avilo Care Services as CHHAs or DSP.
